Decorating Bookshelves~

Decorating Bookshelves  Trying to figure out how to style bookshelves has always been a problem. In today's society a lot of people like to read their books on their tablets so not a lot of people would have enough hard cover books to actually put on bookshelves.  Personally I prefer to read a hard cover book because I spend too much time with gadgets with work and school, so stepping away from a screen for an hour is always relaxing.  I recently had to take out the carpets from a few rooms so some furniture was rearranged, and some were taken out of my room resulting in new bookshelves. I placed the middle and last halfway on each side because I had these Mickey Mouse bookends I wanted to use. Plus, I didn't have enough books to fill all this space, and the space of the bigger bookshelf I got.  The second one is a bit wider, and at thi...

Homemade Pouch~

Homemade Pouches  For this project I'm going to show you how you can make a pouch, pencil case, or just something to hold your stuff with magazines, a Ziploc bag, tape, and hot glue. The first thing your going to need are some old magazines you don't mind ripping up.  I want this to be easy for you so I recommend finding whole pages that you can use.    After you find your pages, you're going to need your Ziploc bag. If your a perfectionist like me then you can cut the edges but for what I have planned you don't really need to. Cut out enough pages to fill the front and back. Tip: Take one entire page that you like ...

I've been doing some deep cleaning in my room with the little time I have (from work) because people are coming over to rip my carpet out and replace it with some wood flooring. (I'm so excited!) I ended up having this empty space on my wall and some jewelry that needed a home so I quickly put together this temporary DIY project. As soon as I get my new floors, I'll be sure to show you the new DIY jewelry holder I make, but for now here is what I got. Pick up a canvas of your choice. If you don't want to spend money on a canvas, you can use cardboard, or use something around the house that is pretty much flat and strong enough to hold some jewelry. I usually buy my canvas at Wal-Mart or Ross.  I've decided to use paint to cover up my blank canvas. I used these three colors. I j...
